Invisalign Touch-Up: Unlock your perfect smile - Book Your Spot Today!
We want your child’s smile to be as healthy as possible, which is why we recommend every child visit an orthodontist for a consultation around the age of 7 - and so does the American Association of Orthodontists! Early treatment can intercept orthodontic issues before they begin.Book a consultation
Why should my child see an orthodontist?
Not all children need orthodontic treatment, but for the ones who do, it’s incredibly beneficial. A straight smile is easier to keep clean and protect against injury, and can also help with eating, speaking, and breathing difficulties.
It’s important to visit us when your child is around age seven. At this age, Dr. Junyi can diagnose potential orthodontic issues before they begin or worsen. This not only protects your child’s smile, it can save you time and money on orthodontic treatment in their teenage years!
What are some signs my child needs orthodontic treatment?
Not all signs of orthodontic issues are obvious, which is why it is important to consult with an orthodontist. But here are a few of the tell-tale signs you should look out for:
- Early or late loss of baby teeth
- Jaws that shift or make noise
- Difficulty biting or chewing
- Teeth that don’t meet when your child bites together
- Crowded, crooked, or poorly positioned teeth
- Jaws or teeth that aren’t proportional to your child’s face
- Finger-sucking habits after the age of 5
Invisalign® First for children
If your child could benefit from early treatment, one great option we offer is Invisalign® First. This is a special Invisalign® treatment specifically designed for children ages 6-10. Invisalign® First is a smooth and removable treatment that provides a gentle introduction to orthodontics.
Invisalign® First aligners help to guide the growth and alignment of your child’s jaws and teeth. Because they are removable, your child won’t even need to adjust their eating, brushing, or flossing habits during treatment.
